|
The Frank Hodge Reading Association was established in 2005 to continue the work of Frank Hodge, a lifelong teacher and literacy advocate. Owner of the Hodge Podge Book Store on Lark Street in Albany, Frank has inspired countless teachers, writers and young readers. The purpose of the Frank Hodge Reading Association is to celebrate Frank's personal commitment to children's literature by making sure that good books continue to find their way into the hands of our children. The Frank Hodge Reading association is not only a tribute to Frank and his work, but to anyone who believes in the power of a good book. Membership in the FHRA is open to individuals who recognize that the best way to encourage reading is to make sure that all children are afforded the opportunity to read books that will challenge their spirit and fire their imagination. Anyone who wishes to become a member may do so by making a donation of any amount. Checks should be made out to Frank Hodge Reading Association and mailed to:
