Our first conference series, Let the Reading Begin (LRB) was a gathering of teachers, librarians, administrators, authors, illustrators, and other interested in putting magic back into reading classes through the use of literature in the classroom. LRB was a day and a half of presentations, seminars, and sessions staffed by top professionals in the fields of education and the arts. Each gathering was headlined by a variety of children's authors and illustrators from the United States, Canada, and abroad. Our seminar leaders were drawn from across the country and represent the very best thinking about particular issues being faced by those teachers in attendance.
